new painting

18x24 acrylic painting...is it possible to lacquer a painting to make it all shiny without ruining it?
i'm working on a few more paintings as well...i want to build up a little collection and then open an etsy shop I think.

I need some canvas!

I do have a few things I'd like to paint, but i need canvas!

week 2

It's actually nice and windy here today so I'm sitting on my porch blogging :).
I did this charcoal today, I find skulls to be pretty complicated/hard to draw. But I like them. Maybe because mine was so messed up and has lots of screws/plates/wires in it now :-P
I really love charcoal. <3

Art

So I decided that I'm going to use this blog as a type of accountability. I'm going to do my best to post at least once a week of something creative, whether it be drawing, painting, charcoal or piano. It would be nice to sell some of my stuff eventually :)
I'll start with this charcoal that I did last week.

Also last week on my days off I mostly just practiced...I recorded myself to kind of give myself a goal of re-memorizing this piece. I did it 3 years ago for a recital at Rollins.. and also I need to get it up to speed...but here it is for you :)
